Temperature Rating
- Maximum temperature: 250°F (121°C), as listed in the specifications supplied for this product.
- Material: High-temperature EPDM synthetic rubber.
- Reinforcement: High-tenacity polyester plies with a steel wire helix.
- Construction benefits: Designed to resist heat, ozone, exhaust exposure, sanitation chemicals, and collapse under appropriate operating conditions.
The 250°F rating is a maximum specified temperature, not a recommended continuous operating target for every installation. Confirm the applicable product data sheet and operating conditions before use.
Approved and Intended Marine Applications
- Wet exhaust systems: Larger hose diameters are intended for compatible marine wet exhaust connections, including longer runs and angled routing.
- Engine intake and water lines: Smaller diameters may be suitable for compatible engine intake and critical water applications.
- Bilge discharge and drainage: Suitable for approved bilge discharge, drain, and scupper connections.
- Marine sanitation: Suitable for compatible toilets, holding tank, and sanitation plumbing applications.
Trident identifies this hose series as exceeding SAE J2006-R2 and ABYC/NMMA P-1 exhaust standards, with Lloyd's Register type approval listed in its product documentation.
Important Installation Limits
- Do not exceed the applicable temperature or working-pressure rating for the selected hose size.
- Verify the hose's inside diameter, minimum bend radius, and pressure specifications before installation.
- Use only in exhaust configurations and fluid-handling applications approved by the manufacturer.
- Do not assume the hose is suitable for dry exhaust, unrestricted exhaust-gas exposure, fuel transfer, or other unlisted services.
- Follow the manufacturer's requirements for hose routing, support, clamping, and system design.
Choose the correct Trident Marine Flex hose for your application. Confirm the exact series, diameter, temperature rating, and service requirements before ordering from U.S. Boating & Marine Supplies.
