Marine Starter Brush & Spring Replacement

Starter brushes are wear components inside an electric starter motor. Over time, normal starter operation can cause brushes to wear, potentially affecting electrical contact and starter operation. Replacing worn brushes and springs can be an important part of servicing a compatible marine starter.

The Sierra 18-5697 provides a convenient replacement kit for compatible applications, helping simplify starter maintenance and repair without replacing the entire starter assembly when only the brush and spring components require service.

Verify Fitment Before Ordering

Marine starter components can vary by engine model, starter design, and application. Before ordering the Sierra 18-5697, compare your existing starter and verify the applicable OEM part number to ensure the correct replacement.
