Safety and Compliance Note
This product meets Canadian Coast Guard safety requirements for vessels under 20 meters in length. However, due to its lightweight 9/32-inch rope diameter, it is intended for flatwater, coastal sea kayaking, and general boating; it is not rated for heavy-duty whitewater rescue where intense hand-held shock loads occur.
How to use a throw bag
- Open the throw bag by loosening the drawstring
- Take a few meters of rope out of the bag to keep some slack for throwing
- Firmly hold the rope with your non-dominant hand and throw the bag with your dominant hand to the rescue
- Aim to get the line within arm’s reach of the rescue
- Wait for them to grab the rope and pull them to safety
