PropOne Underwater Light Coating (ULC) 70ml is an optically clear, non-toxic foul-release coating specifically formulated to prevent marine growth from permanently adhering to underwater light lenses and transducers. It is a biocide-free, eco-friendly solution that allows encrusting organisms to be effortlessly wiped away with a soft sponge or gloved hand.

• Volume: 70ml tin.
• Coverage Area: Roughly 0.7 square meters (approx. 7.5 sq. ft.) of lens area.
• Application Method: One-pack, one-coat simple brush application.
• Compatible Surfaces: Glass and polyamide (plastic) lenses, surrounding brass, and plastic/composite light fitting surrounds. It is also suitable for transducer faces.

Application & Curing Instructions

• Surface Preparation: Clean off heavy shell fouling and grease using appropriate marine hull cleaners or boat wash. Follow up with a thorough high-pressure freshwater rinse, allow to dry completely, and perform a final wipe down with an acetone-soaked clean cloth.
• Application: Apply generously using a brand-new, soft, clean brush, working carefully from the center of the lens out to the edges. Do not apply standard PropOne metal primers to the lens, and mask off any rubber seals, connectors, or cable entries.
• Immersion/Curing Time: The coating must dry thoroughly before launching. It requires at least 12 hours of dry curing time at 20°C (68°F), or 16 hours if the ambient temperature is closer to 10°C (50°F).
