Description
Blue Sea Cable Clam provides a waterproof, above-the-waterline pass-through for routing marine or automotive cables through decks, roofs, or bulkheads without removing factory-installed connectors. It works by compressing a split, drillable rubber gland around the wire to form a tight seal.
Key Features and Mechanics
- No Connector Removal: Large opening diameters allow large factory plugs (like PL-259 or radar connectors) to slide right through.
- Compression Seal: The internal Buna-N rubber gland is slit so it can wrap around the wire. Fastening the back plate compresses this gland to create a completely watertight barrier.
- Weatherproof Construction: Built from UV-stabilized acetal/thermoplastic and bundled with stainless steel mounting hardware.
