The BEP Kill Switch & Lanyard (Part Number 1001601) is an emergency safety upgrade designed to prevent runaway situations on older boats by stopping the engine immediately when the safety lanyard is pulled. It acts as a direct cross-reference and exact functional replacement for the widely used Cole Hersee part number M-597.
